- Google Drive —
Files.
- Google LLC / Microsoft Corporation:
(Opt-out)

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The “Loms” system (referred to below as “the System”, “we” or “us”) is a system for managing law firms and legal consultancies, operated by Ahmed Abdulrahem Alsulami Information Technology Est. We are committed to protecting the privacy of the System’s users and of the clients of the firms that subscribe to it, as required by the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when we delete it, and how you control it.
1. Data we collect
- System users’ data (staff of law firms): name, email address, mobile number, job role.
- Firms’ client data that a firm enters to manage its work: name, mobile number, email address, and whatever relates to the client’s cases, appointments and invoices.
- Trial-request data from the website form: firm name, contact person’s name, mobile number, email address, city.
- Operational data needed for the System’s security: sign-in and activity logs.
- Usage data of Muin (مُعين), for firms that enable it: the text of conversations, any documents the user attaches, the log of actions carried out through it, and the number of questions used (see section 5).
2. Use of mobile numbers and WhatsApp messages
Your mobile number is used to send verification codes (OTP) and operational notifications — such as confirming a consultation appointment booked in your name and reminding you of it before it is due — through the WhatsApp application and by email. We do not send any marketing or promotional messages over WhatsApp, and we send messages only to someone for whom the message has a direct operational reason (a code they requested themselves, or an appointment that concerns them).
3. Where a firm’s documents are stored
Each firm chooses where its documents are stored, and can change that choice later:
- Loms storage: files are stored on cloud infrastructure that we host, and are encrypted before they are stored, with a separate key for each document. Anyone who has access to the storage alone — including the hosting provider — cannot read the content of the files.
- The firm’s own Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account: files are stored in the firm’s own account, and the firm remains their owner. In this case they are deliberately not encrypted, because the purpose is for the lawyer to open them directly from their own storage app.
4. What we access in a Google Drive or OneDrive account
When a firm connects its account itself, we request the narrowest permission that is sufficient for the purpose, and nothing more:
- Google Drive — the
drive.filepermission only, which gives us access to the files that the System creates, and no others. We do not see the account’s other files or folders, and we cannot access them at all. - Microsoft OneDrive — the
Files.ReadWritepermission to upload and download the firm’s documents,User.Readto identify the connected account, andoffline_accessto keep the connection active without asking the user to sign in every time.
We use this access to upload the firm’s documents, to download them for the firm, and to delete them on its instruction — and for nothing else. We do not read or analyse the content of the files — except a document that a user of the firm attaches to Muin themselves, after the firm has enabled document reading, as explained in section 5 — we do not use them to train any artificial-intelligence model, and we do not share them with any party for any other purpose.
Disconnect at any time. From the settings screen in the System: we immediately stop using the account and delete the access tokens we hold. Files that were uploaded to the firm’s account remain there as they are — we delete nothing from the firm’s account except on its instruction. The firm can also revoke the permission directly from its account settings at Google or Microsoft.
5. Muin (مُعين) — the AI assistant
Muin is an optional service within the System that helps the firm’s users with their work: searching the firm’s data, preparing actions (such as adding a case, a hearing, a task or an invoice), summarising figures and reports, and searching laws and circulars in their official sources.
- Enabling is in the firm’s hands. Muin works only after the firm enables it, and each user has a separate switch that the firm’s administrator turns on or off. Document reading and official-source search are two separate switches that the firm enables if it chooses.
- What is processed. When Muin is used, the text of the user’s question, the firm data needed to answer it that the user is already permitted to view, and the text or images of a document if the user attaches it themselves, are sent to third-party artificial-intelligence service providers to be processed and for the reply to be returned. These providers’ servers may be located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- No training on your data. We configure the service to use providers that, according to their published terms, do not retain the content or train their models on it, and we do not use the firm’s data to train any model.
- Official-source search. Search phrases are sent to a search provider, and the System automatically prevents them from containing the names of clients or of case parties, or case numbers.
- No automated decisions. Muin does not carry out any addition, change or deletion by itself; it shows what it is going to do, and nothing is carried out until the user presses “Confirm” («تأكيد»), and then only with that user’s permissions. The action is recorded in the user’s name, with a note that it was done “through Muin”.
- Accuracy of replies. Muin’s replies are automated and may be wrong or incomplete, and they are not legal advice; the user reviews them before relying on them.
- The firm’s responsibility. The firm is responsible for the lawfulness of the client data it enters or attaches, including sensitive data such as medical reports, and for obtaining whatever consents are needed to process that data in this way.
Muin from WhatsApp. For firms where it is enabled, the firm’s staff can use Muin from WhatsApp after each of them links their own number to their account in the System. Their text messages and voice notes are processed by the same service providers already named in this section and in section 6 (including Meta, as the carrier of WhatsApp messages). Voice notes are not stored: only their transcribed text is kept, and it is treated like a written question. The user themselves or the firm’s administrator can remove this link at any time.
6. Third parties
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with any party for marketing purposes. Some data passes through technical processors that are needed to provide the service:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp): processes the mobile number and the content of the operational message when it is sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform, in accordance with Meta’s policies.
- The hosting provider: the System’s data is hosted on secured servers, and access to it is limited to what is needed to operate the service.
- Google LLC / Microsoft Corporation: only for firms that choose to connect their own account, and with the permissions described in section 4 above. The firm is the owner of the account and of the relationship with them; we upload and download on the firm’s behalf.
- Artificial-intelligence and search service providers (OpenRouter as an intermediary; Anthropic, PBC, the provider of the Claude model that Muin runs on; and the official-source search provider): only for firms that enable Muin, and solely to process what section 5 describes.
7. Data retention
- Subscribing firms’ data is kept for the duration of the subscription, and is deleted or handed over to the firm within 90 days of the subscription ending and deletion being requested — subject to what Saudi regulations require to be kept for longer periods (such as financial records and invoices).
- Documents that a firm deletes move to the trash and remain recoverable for 30 days; they are then removed from storage, and the firm can no longer access them. Their backup copy at the storage provider is permanently and irrecoverably erased within a further 30 days — that is, 60 days at most from the date of deletion. The firm may empty the trash before that period ends, in which case the document is removed immediately and the same period applies to its backup copy.
- Trial-request data that is not followed by a subscription is deleted within 12 months.
- Muin conversations are deleted automatically 30 days after their last activity. Text extracted from a document attached to Muin is stored encrypted and is deleted when the document is deleted. The log of actions carried out through Muin and the number of questions used are kept with the firm’s data for the periods stated above.
- Verification codes are never stored in plain text, and they expire within minutes of being issued.
8. Unsubscribing from WhatsApp messages (opt-out)
You can stop WhatsApp messages to you at any time, in either of two ways: by replying with the word “إيقاف” (“stop”) to any message you receive from us on WhatsApp, or by writing to us at support@lomsapp.com from your email address, including your mobile number. The opt-out takes effect within 48 hours at most, and notifications you requested yourself continue to reach you by email, where applicable.
9. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, and you may withdraw your consent to any processing that is not necessary to perform the contract — using the contact details below. We reply within fifteen business days.
10. Data deletion
- How to request deletion. Email us at support@lomsapp.com, or contact us on WhatsApp or by phone at +966 56 692 6435, from the email address or mobile number registered on your account, and state the account and the firm it belongs to.
- When we reply. We reply to your request within fifteen business days.
- What is deleted. We delete your personal data, or anonymise it so that it no longer identifies you, except records we are legally required to retain (such as invoices and financial records).
- A firm’s documents and its clients’ data. A firm’s documents, and the data it enters about its clients and their cases, are under the firm’s control: the firm’s administrator deletes them from within the System, and the periods in section 7 apply to what it deletes. If you are a client of a firm and want data about your cases with that firm deleted, please send your request to the firm itself.
- WhatsApp messages. To stop WhatsApp messages to you, simply reply “STOP” (or “إيقاف”) to any message you receive from us, as explained in section 8.
11. Contact
